2025 Arneis
2025 Arneis
100% Arneis · Ciel du Cheval Vineyard · Red Mountain
Arneis may be one of the great white varieties of the Piedmont region of Italy, but it is currently more of a rarity in the Pacific Northwest. Sourced from the acclaimed Ciel du Chevel Vineyard, a site better known top-scoring Cabernet Sauvignon, this variety excels in the warm, dry climate of Red Mountain. The grapes were direct pressed and fermented in stainless steel tank before aging in stainless steel drums (72%) and neutral barrels (28%) for 10 months. The finished wine was so textural, that we decided to forgo filtation (tyically only our reds are unfiltered), leaving the wine with a slight haze and some harmless sediment in the bottle. Pour carefully and enjoy Arneis in all of it's textural glory!
Pale, hazy lemon hue and medium bodied with hints of star fruit, lime zest, asian pear and lilac.
