We’ve offered many a wine from the famed Les Collines Vineyard, but this is our first Grenache from the site, where the variety has only recently been planted. The vines are gobelet/bush trained, which is common in traditional regions of Europe, but relatively rare in Washington. Approachable now, but should reward some additional years in bottle.

 

The wine presents a deep ruby hue with structured tannins and aromas of black cherry, fig, allspice and white pepper.

 

Aged 11 months in neutral French Oak barrels.
