The Rocks District of Milton Freewater is a unique sub-appellation of the Walla Walla Valley.  Ancient floods deposited deep layers of polished river stones that litter the surface of vineyards in the region, making them difficult to farm and imbuing the wines with a distinctive savory character.  It's been a few years since we've released a vineyard-designated Grenache from the area, but we are now sourcing from a beautiful new site:  Las Canteras Vineyard. Owned by the Rioja-born owners of Valdemar Estates, these vines are farmed with a Spanish flair with bush vine/gobelet training and East/West orientation.  An exciting addition to the lineup!

The wine presents a shimmery clear, ruby color and is fresh and elegant with aromas of wild raspberry, ripe strawberry, sage, and kalamata olive and leather.
